We are not only a federally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit but have multiple recognitions for excellence. We are also Accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries.
Anyone can rescue animals from desperate situations and provide sanctuary, but what sets sanctuaries such as our apart are the rigorous standards to meet and adhere to through Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries.
We are the fifth Animal Sanctuary in the State of Washington to receive this coveted honor!

Accredited sanctuaries must have well thought out governance, strategic planning, fiscal transparency, educational outreach and ultimately the highest standards of care for the animals.
The process is intense, but really assures the public, donors and animal care advocates that this is a sanctuary of integrity, that is committed to the long-term care and well-being of its residents.
The best thing? Black Dawg Farm and Sanctuary is 100% non-profit registered 501(c)3 charity. It is entirely run by volunteers, so all the profits go back to the animals and their care!
